Testing Torch Relay For 2012

A few months later, on 20th April, a rehearsal of the Olympic Torch Relay will be hold all the way from Leicester to Peterborough. The route is 80 miles long and represents how the official day usually goes like. Initially the idea of the rehearsal is to test all the communication process, timings from one to another location as well as managing the traffic, working with the crew and the convoy itself. There will be more than hundred people helping with the testing as most of them will be students from the Royal College of the Blind, Leicester, Northampton, Loughborough and other universities.
