Flags to be raised by the Armed Forces over millions of visitors and short lets London for the Olympics 2012
The Welcome Ceremonies this summer will be visited by more than 300 Olympic and Paralympic teams and millions of visitors who have already booked holiday apartments in London, hotel rooms and accommodations. As every ceremony there will be flags raised which is one of the most honoured duty. This year the Ministry of Defence have gone through nomination procedures to choose the ones who will have the honour to participate in this event. As a result, 176 men and women from the Royal Navy, the Army and the Royal Air Force were chosen to bear the flags. They will be dressed in special Ceremonial Day uniforms and will take part in hundreds of Team Welcome Ceremonies and Victory Ceremonies where the first ones mark the beginning of the event and the second ones are about to congratulate the winners with their national flags and anthems.
