A UK Princess Will Bring The Flame To The People
A member of the royal family – the princess Zara Phillips has taken around the Olympic torch carrying it round the Cheltenham, riding her precious horse Toytown. Even she is a world champion with numerous gold medals Zara admitted that bringing Olympic flame to people is one of the greatest honour she was awarded with. More than 18 000 people follow the princess and the Olympic torch on London streets leaving their short lets and sharing with her this incredible moment.
Couple of years ago Zara Phillips became a patron of some of the local events and participate the festival frequently, accompanied with her beloved horse Toytown, whose she retired a year after she won the World Championship in 2006.
The princes was just a part from the long list of famous English athletes which carried the flame around London till it reaches its final destination – the 2012 Olympic Games stadium on the grand opening.
